Dharma Activities For The Month Of June 2011

The period 2/6/2011 to 15/6/2011 is Saka Dawa which is one of the most important sacred Buddhist days as it commemorates Lord Buddha's birth, enlightenment and Parinirvana.
During this particularly auspicious time of the year, practitioners place special emphasis on Dharma practice such as circumambulation of monasteries and stupas, prostrations, taking precepts, reciting mantras, offering mandalas, doing sadhanas, writing sutra and saving animal's lives, etc.
All the merits of virtuous actions done on these days (02/06/2011 till 15/06/2011) are Multiplied ONE HUNDRED MILLION TIMES.
At CGC, we have lined up daily activities during this extremely important period. If you are free, please join us as many days as you can, don't miss the chance to purify your negative karma and collect merit.
If you would like to make offerings at CGC during this time, you're most welcome to do so before teaching or prayer begins. You also can bring along your own offerings or alternatively you can offer butter lamp which is available at CGC with a small donation. For more information on offerings, please contact Ms. Loo Bee Bee at 012 4912528 or Mr. Vincent Yeoh at 012 428 5528.

CGC's Blood Test Campaign

Dear All,

Our health, and that of our family members are very important. Health is better than wealth. There is no point in having plenty of money when our health is poor and we have to see the doctor frequently. It is important for us to know whether our body is in good condition or otherwise.

CGC and Pathlab are currently holding a blood test campaign until July 30, 2011. Vouchers are available at CGC and each voucher only cost RM100 for a 18KS test which is a comprehensive General Health Screen comprising of 41 tests for your general health, with extra Tumour Marker - Alpha Fetoprotein (Liver Cancer) as well as for H.Pylori.

When you purchase the voucher, you are not only paying for your blood test but at the same time contributing to charity because CGC is a non-profit dharma centre.

For more information, please call Mr. Yeoh at 012 4285528 or Miss Stephanie at 012 428 2929 or you can email us at fpmt.cgc@gmail.com. Take care of your health and support us in this campaign.

Thank You.
